Kate Atchley

Some folk suggest my ministry is mostly with the honeybees — I'm a deeply-involved beekeeper (see www.sammba.org) — but I serve my fellow human companions in many ways too (my own www.kateatchley.co.uk is being updated and you will also find me www.scottishweddingceremony.co.uk/celebrant-in-lochaber-west-highlands

I am privileged to offer supervision, whether to you as a student, a minister or neither, accompanying you as you explore your interactions with, and reactions to, those with whom you are working. I see my own personal supervision as pivotal in my learning and understanding and hope to shine clear mirror for others to grow in awareness and confidence in their service as spiritual counsellors or mentors.Taking Weddings plays a large part in my life, especially through the Summer months. Living as I do in the beautiful West Highlands, I am usually asked to conduct weddings on a beach, a hilltop, beside a castle or in some other scenic place. What a delight! I meet couples where they are in their lives, I get to know them, and echo their beliefs and what is most importance to them and their families in the personalised ceremonies I create. Each year I am asked to create Blessing & Naming Ceremonies for a few babies and young children, often born to parents I have married. What an honour it is to be woven into the fabric of their young lives in this way, and those of their family.Prayer, supporting friends or clients in times of crisis, occasional funerals and vow renewals all play a part in my varied life. I trust the universe will continue to invite more and different loving work from me as I age and learn more clearly why I am here, and how I might be useful.
